Mocap on Models

I have finally went through the process of getting the mocap animation captures onto a rig. We are using a provided rig for now and after all of them are imported into Unreal i hope to get the animation retargeted onto a meta human or another model more representing of our characters. But if all else fails we at least have all of our animations on a model and working well enough for the screening of our animatic.

So origionally we were trying to use the MocapLibrary where it should have just imported the animation to the rig as closely as possible. However, that was destroying the rig or animation (or both?) and was not able to get that working. So we went through using MocapMatcher. It was a learning curve for me but after having some help making the template for the joint names it went much faster. And when we have our actual characters rigged and ready to go, the animation on them the process will go much faster. I was able to get all 12 of our mocap captures successfully onto the rig. So, next though I will be trying to get them exported to Unreal and hopefully retargeted. That process walk through will be coming soon.
