Kitchen Modeling

I have taken a break from working on the characters to getting started on the kitchen. I feel like I needed to step back from the characters for a little while and hopefully I can go back ready to try again with them. We are getting to the stage of re-topologizing now and it has been rough. So I have finished getting the cabinets modeled with fully usable drawers in case we decide to utilize them. The sink has been started I just need to get the faucet and drain in. And the stove is also complete. As I was researching I notice in a lot of Korean homes they had these tiny portable stoves and no ovens. Very interesting so I decided to use those references for our stove as well. I will be started the fridge here after the sink is finished. From there we only need to add the clutter props we have already made to start making it look lived in. It has come along much faster as I feel much more comfortable modeling in Maya than zbrush so it was good to be able to bang this out real quick and get a little break from zbrush.

Here are some examples of the type of kitchen setups I was finding and what I based this off of. We are definitely going for the more cluttered version of the first image but they both have the same type of cabinetry and stove we were looking for.
