Characters for Days

So far I have started modeling three characters; our cop, the intruder, and the ghost/demon guy. Started in Zbrush and got the faces figured out pretty well however this is my first time trying to model clothes. I started off using a mask on his body and then extracting that so I had the shape of his body. From there I was able to move the topology around. The basis of the pants and shirt are there, but I did not enjoy that tie so I decided to take him into Maya. There I got his hat and shoes modeled but that then showed another problem within the clothes. They are a little too thin so when I go back to Zbrush I'll inflate those a little so I am not getting that weird clipping happening. I want to finish off his belt and tie in Maya then I'll go back to Zbrush and finish the smaller details of his clothes and hair. After that all he will need are some teeth and a tongue and he will be ready for UVs.

Here you can see that janky tie from Zbrush and below the odd clipping happening in the shirt and pants

For the intruder again his face is good to go. With this model, it was my first go at trying to model hair. Definitely had a few iterations before I got to what I have now. I still need to go through and blend some of those shape so they are less tubular then add some detail to emulate strands. Also not a fan of the brows and I'll probably redo those but after I finish the cop I'll start getting his body built up. I know I shouldn't have gone too far into detail without getting his whole body in but this really just started out as a trial to get the look of his face down. But the team ended up liking it so we decided to push this one forward.

We used this trial to figure out if we were going to model his mustache in or paint in his sparse stache during texturing. After a vote we decided to keep in his mustache like we have here. I think I went a little too much with the curve snap tool but this is a much more tame version than my first try using that tool. Maybe I'll hide some more of those individual strands but before I do that I want to work some more on what I have now to try and blend things in and get some more detail in there before I decide to restart.
